From 29 September to 3 October 2025, the IFRC Asia Pacific Regional Office Health and Care Team, with support from the Norwegian Red Cross and Hong Kong Red Cross (Branch of the Red Cross Society of China), organized the first Regional Community-Based Surveillance (CBS) Coordinator & Emergencies Training, hosted by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in Jakarta, Indonesia.

From 2 to 5 October 2025, the Norwegian Red Cross hosted a Community-Based Surveillance (CBS) Emergency Response Unit (ERU) training in Oslo. Team leaders and epidemiologists from the Red Cross societies of Norway, Canada, France, Germany, and Finland gathered to strengthen their collective preparedness and response capabilities.

The Uganda Red Cross, Norwegian Red Cross and IFRC hosted a Coordinator-level training on community-based surveillance (CBS) in Entebbe, Uganda June 10-14th.
