As part of their response to the 2025 Ebola outbreak in Uganda, the Uganda Red Cross Society is stepping up community-based surveillance and contact tracing in a bid to identify potential cases early and prevent further spread of the disease.
In early March, a new team of volunteers in Wakiso was trained in community-based surveillance to quickly detect and report signs of Ebola within their communities.
