Cameroon: early detection and action stop a measles outbreak

In the North region of Cameroon, swift action by Cameroon Red Cross Society volunteers trained in epidemic control and community-based surveillance ensured the rapid response to, and containment of, a measles outbreak. And their subsequent support to a mass measles vaccination campaign is protecting children’s health in the long term.
